Donaldine Jefferies Boase

Donaldine Jefferies Boase, passed away on October 3, 1988, at the age of 66 of bone cancer.

Donaldine Boase was born January 12, 1922 in Grantsville, Utah, the 2nd child of William Chester Jefferies and Sarah Flinders Jefferies. Married James Landy Boase, Jr., on June 1, 1941; later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. She was a life-long devoted active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has held many positions over the years: Primary Teacher, Secretary in the Primary, Work Leader in Relief Society for many years and as 2nd Counselor in Relief Society and as Secretary of Relief Society and Sunday School. She was an avid genealogy enthusiast and worked diligently to organize and keep her family organization active.

Donaldine and her husband, James L. Boase Jr. raised two children, Marvin James Boase, Salt Lake City, Utah and Janice Kay Burrows, Glendive, Montana, whom survive. Her husband James preceded her in death, February 6, 1981. Other survivors are her daughter-in-law, Carol (Chamberlain) Boase, and son-in-law Cashe L. Burrows; six grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Melissa, James and Jennifer Boase, Salt Lake City; Tyson, Ryan and Natasha Burrows, Glendive, Montana; three brothers, Marvin C. Jefferies and wife Blanche Moss, Nyssa, Oregon; John R. Jefferies and wife, Bonnie Stoker, Alpine, Utah; Robert F. Jefferies and wife Linda, of Encinada, California; a sister, Dorothy Jane Thuet and husband Jack C. Thuet, Las Vegas, Nevada; also her mother, Sarah F. Jefferies Jones; many friends, relatives and fellow workers that meant so much to her. Worked as a beautician for many years and as a checker at ZCMI, and at the time of death was employed by First Federal Savings and Loan.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 1988, 1 p.m., in the Cannon 3rd Ward Chapel, 1301 South 1200 West, Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, and Thursday from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. at the ward. Internment, Sunset Gardens of the Valley.
