Orae Palmer

Our mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, Orae Jefferies Palmer, 86, died Wednesday, Nov. 17 at her home. She was born March 16, 1913 to Frank Clark Jefferies and Mary Tanner Jefferies. She married Ross Palmer on Oct. 25, 1930, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Orae was a life-long resident of Grantsville, and an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many auxiliaries, including Primary, Mutual, and Relief Society.

She is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Harvey) and Carol (Bill); one son, Darrel (RaNae); two brothers, W. Martin Jefferies (Merl), and Claude C. Jefferies; Orae's "Pride and Joy" - 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and all nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, Karma Jean and one brother, F. Archie Jefferies.

Services were held Monday Nov. 22, 1999 at the Grantsville Stake Center.

Internment is in the Grantsville Cemetery.
