Dorothy May Wilkins obituary

Dorothy W. Olsen

Mrs. Dorothy Wilkins Olsen, 54, of 1212 31st, died Monday night at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

Mrs. Olsen was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Tucumcari, N.M., a daughter of William Wallace and Bessie Dickey Wilkins.

She was reared and educated in New Mexico and Reno, Nev., and graduated from Reno High School.

On May 14, 1941, she was married to Harold C. Olsen in Virginia City, Nev. The family resided in Reno and came to Ogden in 1943.

She was an artist and was a member of the Western Art Guild. She was a member of the Highland LDS Ward.

Surviving are her husband of Ogden; three daughter, Mrs. William (Diane) Wiseman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Marlene Carr and Mrs. Ronda Davis, both of Ogden; five grandchildren.

Also surviving are her father, William W. Wilkins, Deming, N.M.; her mother, Mrs. Bessie D. Farthing, Summit City, Calif.; one brother, Morris Wilkins, Oakland, Calif.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Flowers Mortuary with Bishop's Counselor Roger Duston of the Highland Ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday until services. Internment in the Washington Heights Memorial Park.
