Lois J. Thomas

TOOELE, Utah -- Lois Jefferies Thomas, age 72, died May 4, 1996.

She was born November 16, 1923 in Grantsville, Utah to William Clark and Gertrude Hudson Jefferies. She married Nick S. Thomas October 26, 1941 in Preston, Idaho. He died July 29, 1979. Member of LDS Church. She was also a member of the Lady Eagles, Lady Elks, and the Women's International Bowling Congress. Lois enjoyed fishing, sewing, watching ice skating and Jazz games, but her life was her family.

She is survived by her children: Kathy Thomas, Salt Lake City; Annette Allen (Jim), Stansbury Park; John Thomas, Thousand Oaks, California; Nikki Thomas, Salt Lake City; Sherry Young (Brent), Erda; and Michael Thomas, Tooele; grandchildren, Rich Smith, Greg Smith (Cynthia), Tracy Ross (Mike) Lisa Hinkel and Scott Hinkel, very special great-grandson, Nicholas Ross, sister, Marese Johnson; brothers, Kenneth Jefferies, Bill Ray Jefferies and James Kay Jefferies. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lowell, and granddaughter, Trudy Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 1996 at 1 p.m., Tate Mortuary Chapel, 110 So. Main St., Tooele, Utah. Friends may call at the Mortuary on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Wednesday, Interment: Tooele City Cemetery.
