Elaine Jefferies Beacham, our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Friday, March 24, 2000 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Elaine was born April 11, 1921 in Grantsville to Richard Calbert and Chleo Fiddler Jefferies. She married Richard Franklin Beacham on June 11, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Elaine and Richard loved their home in Grantsville and loved welcoming family and friends into their home to visit and enjoy good food.

Elaine held many church jobs. She served as a counselor and secretary in the Relief Society, taught Sunday school, served many years as a visiting teacher and especially enjoyed teaching many young women as a Mia Maid leader.

Elaine also served her church and community as part of a quartet. She, along with her mother and two sisters, sang at many social gatherings, church functions and were regulars on the Grantsville Old Folks Sociable for many years.

Elaine was a lovely lady who quietly lived her life in dedication and service to her family, friends, church and community. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clyde Jefferies, one son Farrell Beacham and her dear husband Richard. She is survived by her son, Ernest (Sharon) Beacham of Grantsville; daughter Pat (David) Peabody of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Jeanine (Don) Johnson and Barbara (Richard) Hutchins; sister-in-law Barbara Jefferies of Grantsville; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Elaine Beacham will be held Friday, March 31 at 11 a.m. in the Grantsville West Stake Center, 115 E. Cherry St. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary in Tooele on Thursday, March 30 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the church one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Grantsville City Cemetery.
